I'm more than happy to assist those that are looking to establish their roots in this awesome area of the Big D, and have done it many times - it offers older, more charming homes in well established neighborhoods, easy access to arts and entertainment, direct entry to major routes of transportation and an overall great atmosphere for singles and families alike. But please know that you will have to pay.
Recently, I've received several requests from interested parties that are looking to move into areas like the M-Streets, Oak Lawn, Uptown, White Rock Lake, Lake Highlands or even Lakewood, but I'm always a little perplexed as to where the general assumption came about that rental rates are available for a 2-3 bedroom home at $900 or less. It ain't happenin'...
Rental inventory changes weekly and Dallas is seeing a very HOT and ACTIVE Rental market, which is great for those that have a month or two of pre-planning before making that transition. However, average rental rates for a 2-3 Bedroom home in these areas show to be $1,796. These rates begin at $650 a month and climb upwards of the high $2,000's quickly, depending on size, location and updates.
So, if you are interested in moving into an East or Central Dallas neighborhood, it's best to speak with a professional who can help you in your search and to begin as soon as possible. Inventory is always changing, but if you are restricted in budget, you will need additional time to find the home that fits your needs within your timeframe.
